HOW TO START YOUR BUSINESS

Available forms of carrying out business activities include:

• sole proprietor (self-employment),
• civil-law partnership,
• companies:
  • limited liability company, joint-stock company,
  • registered, professional, limited and limited joint-stock partnership.

Foreign entrepreneurs have the possibility to open branches and representative offices in Poland.

If you choose to become a sole proprietor, you may register your business with the Krosno Municipal Office (entry in the Business Activity Register – CEIDG). SUPPORT FROM THE DISTRICT EMPLOYMENT OFFICE (POWIATOWY URZĄD PRACY)

The District (Powiat) Employment Office in Krosno has funding to subsidise the commencement of business activity (from the Labour Fund, European funds and funds from the State Fund for Rehabilitation of the Disabled).

The unemployed, graduates and final-year students may also obtain a low-interest loan to start their own business activity within the programme called “First business – Support for the start II”,  administered by Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK) (state development bank).

KROSNO BUSINESS INCUBATOR

The Krosno Business Incubator is a place designed for young, creative, and entrepreneurial individuals. With over 5,000 square meters of space available for use by aspiring entrepreneurs, it offers advisory support, workshops, training, and a coworking space.

The incubator supports companies whose activities align with the smart specializations of the Subcarpathian region: Aviation and Cosmonautics, Automotive, Information and Telecommunications, as well as Quality of Life. Businesses from the SME sector in the Subcarpathian region, operating in the market for no longer than 2 years, can rent the space.

Individual advisory services are available in entrepreneurship, law, taxes, obtaining funds for company development, establishing a company. Various workshops and trainings are available as well.

There are 27 modern, furnished, air-conditioned office spaces for rent, ranging from 11 sqm to 70 sqm, and 11 production halls ranging from 180 sqm to 350 sqm. Each of them has a mezzanine where an office or warehouse can be set up.

The incubator has four conference rooms, each capable of accommodating over 30 people. All rooms are equipped with full multimedia facilities and can be rented for organizing various types of training, workshops, and meetings.

OTHER FORMS OF SUPPORT

Support for new innovative companies is offered by the Polish Development Fund, among others, with the purpose of reaching out to potential investors and acquire subsidies from other sources, along with professional advisory services at all stages of development, and promotion at high-profile fairs and trade events.

The Start accelerator in the Sub-Carpathian Region (Podkarpacie) is engaged in supporting start-ups operating in the region.  They organise training, workshops, meetings with mentors and assistance in acquiring capital, among others by Business Angels and venture capital funds.
